2 more weeks of school
I seem like I'm counting down the time to the end of school.. I still can't believe it man. Bah. All I can think of is the work I need to finish but it still doesn't feel like the last leg of Uni!

Anyhoos, I'm dancing for Global Day of Prayer! Woot! Haha but I gota practise extra hard 'cos I missed two practices already. So I'm trying hard to remember the steps and get familiar with the song. The best thing is it's pretty hard to get help (though I asked and one of them said she'll let me know if they're practising) 'cos:

1) They're not from church
2) They don't study in Murdoch
3) They don't live anywhere near me

Haha but it's good, getting to know more people from other churches and all with the same passion for dance (they're all super pro lah) and wanting to use it for Him! After Sat's practise I was aching like mad almost immediately lah. The pain is shiokadoos but wah lau.. just moving around is a big challenge 'cos everywhere aches like mad! Haha

Well it's gona get crazy these last few weeks with my assignments due plus the extra dance practices since GDOP is in 2 weeks also. EXCITING!!! I will survive with God's help! Heh.

So that's about it! Will try to update again soon if time permits and I feel like updating. Heh. Oh and because the boi asked me if I was going to write about him, I shall write about him asking me that so he'll be mentioned. Happy baby? Haha :p

Okay toodles people!

Lovely lyrics
Hosanna - Brooke Fraser with Hillsong United

I see the King of Glory
Coming down the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes
The whole earth shakes, yea...

I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing
The people sing

Chorus:
Hosanna
Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest
Hosanna
Hosanna
Hosanna in the highest

I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith

I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees
We're on our knees

Chorus

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things I see
Show me how to love like You
Have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Chorus

Loving this song and I can really feel every single word of the lyrics.

Lord, use this generation.

Envy Envy.
I posted this in my LJ actually.. haha but seeing how many of you can't/don't read it. I'm putting it here too 'cos I just wanna know! :p

We all have things about our friends that make us slightly envious. Not in a bad way, but in a 'Wow! I wish I had that person's boobs/eyes/money/relationship/nose hairs/whatever.' So tell me what about me makes you envy me. . . then post this in your LJ/blog and see what makes me envious of you.

To the families affected by the Virginia Tech massacre. My heart goes out to you. Seriously.

You know when I saw it on the news I thought to myself how could a human do that? But yes it is because he is a human. Only humans can be so cruel. It disgusts me to know that there are people with twisted minds out there who do such things or even worse. we were talking about it in class this morning and one of my classmates was saying if he was that upset he would have just left the school. Why resort to such violence? And then I think to myself also, imagine if that happened to my school? (touchwood) I really can't imagine the fear they had to go through. It is just too real.

Ok shall stop thinking. I'm getting goosebumps. On a lighter note, I got back my TV program proposal. Woohoo!! I am damn happy!! Tutor said it it is by far the best work she's read and I got the highest marks among everyone in the whole module. Woot! :D All this is thanks to God for His wisdom!

Back to work now.

Encounter. Call. Influence. IMPACT.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

Back from camp and boy was it good! I was expecting it to be kinda long and draggy 'cos of the many many sessions. But I thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of it and all the teaching was good. I felt Him, I heard Him, I met Him. It was all I needed to be refreshed and ready to continue the journey that He's put me on. I feel free. Liberated. Gone is the old and on with the new!

Here I am God! Use me to be an influence in people's lives! Amen.

"I'm not satisfied to have the form but not the power." - Believe, Hillsong

Will update with peekatures from the camp but for now.. time for emails! Haha and I shall leave you with this.. :) Toodles!

Still more awesome than i know
You're my coming king you're everything
Still more awesome than i know

Once again I am reminded of how small I am compared to the vastness of this earth. God is indeed a BIG God. Just look at that pic with 4 of us in it.

I had a great time on Sat. GREAT company, GREAT views. Only one thing was missing, the boi. I miss you.

Will update with pics once I get them from everyone. Toodles.

Burn Baby Burn!
God's Wonderful Creation

I'm now officially literally chao ta. And so Joel will be proud to say his nickname for me is apt.. Sheesh!

We had our annual Vibe Party at City Beach yesterday and boy was the sun hot. I went expecting to get a tan but I got burnt even though I slapped on some protection. But it's ok I'm happy 'cos it'll be a happy tan after the redness goes away. Haha. So anyways, pictures from the BE-A-U-TI-FUL day at the beach followed by M&M (Murdoch & Melville) dinner (though we didn't take that many pics)! And also the resident cutie of the church that makes every go "sooooooo cuuuuuuttttteeeee!!!" No it's not the girls or the guys, it's the little boy ;)

Self entertainment proves it's worth.

The people came, the games began!

Burnt but relaxed, and a stroll along the beach.

The resident cutie. He shows you why!

Just a few of the faces.

Oh yes and I bought more tees from Threadless 'cos Jojo was ordering! Tsk!! You make me spend money ah woman! :p haha so I bought this..

And well my bro really wanted this other tee.. so I got it for him too.

Back to school tomorrow again.. Back to work 'cos I've got assignments due. I'm already 1/4 into the semester and I still don't feel like I'm in school for real. I think it's cos of the number of days I spend in school ah.. Hopefully it doesn't change though. I don't really wanna spend so many days in school.. haha 2 and a half days is just fine with me.

And before I leave I wanna say something to a very dear friend of mine...
HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY GABBY!!
(and bro, we still haven't taken those photos we said we were going to take.)

And yet another one of us 85 people turns 22. How fast time flies.

More than a Conqueror - Tommy Tenney
The size of your enemy is a measure of the size of God's confidence in your ability to overcome.

Scripture Reading
1 Samuel 17:1-51, tells how David, armed with a sling, five stones and the anointing of God, defeated and killed Goliath, a giant Philistine warrior.
God sees potential everybody else misses.

Take David for example. Who would have thought that a shepherd boy from Bethlehem could bring down a professional soldier nearly twice his height? Or, for that matter, could become a king who would lead his nation to greatness? God did . When God looked at David He looked beyond the shepherd and saw the heart of a warrior and a king. God knew the potential for greatness that was in David. After all, He had put it there.

Not even Jesse, David's father, recognized the potential in his youngest son. When Samuel arrived to anoint one of Jesse's sons as king of Israel , Jesse did not even call David in from the fields to be in the lineup. One by one the Lord rejected David's older brothers, saying, “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Finally, David was called before Samuel. “And the Lord said, ‘Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!'”

Not long after this God began to elevate David toward his destiny. He brought David face-to-face with a formidable enemy. With the soldiers of two opposing armies as witnesses, David brought down Goliath with a single stone from his sling. David succeeded because he knew where his power came from. Just before this battle he told King Saul, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” God was confident of David's ability to overcome because He knew that David would not trust in his own strength.

God sees great potential in you too. God knows what you can handle because He knows what He has placed inside you. The more you align your life to God's purpose the more He will begin moving you toward your destiny.

Remember that new levels bring new devils. Don't fear the obstacles and challenges that lie before you. Don't fret over the apparent size and strength of your enemies. They merely reflect God's confidence in your ability to overcome— in His power . Trust the Lord. He will match your character and strength to the challenges you face. He will make you more than a conqueror!

Good News Is ALWAYS Good
Got back my results already and I must say that I am very happy with them. Maybe I expected to get a better grade for my MPP.. but well I'm just shocked I did well for my Services Marketing. Wahaha. And for that, I really must thank God! Because it would definitely have been impossible for me to get that grade if not for Him!

I started dance last week.. and boy was it a good workout. My whole body is aching like mad but you know what, it's shiok. Although I wouldn't mind a massage now.. Haha I haven't felt like this for ages and well, I'm just happy I'm doing it. I mean it's dance man!! Woohoo!! :D After the Christmas performance I shall start on my exercise I said I was gonna do when I get back.. heh.

So I've been pretty busy, especially with dance practices 3 times a week, means lesser time to meet up with people but well thank God I'm back for a longer time, till mid Feb to be exact, so hopefully I manage to catch up with everyone I wanna catch up with. This month might be a bit tough to meet up with people but I'll try my best! So if you wanna meet just drop me an SMS or smth yah? I'm sorry if I you've dated me and I didn't manage to slot you in. Bare with me for a while, at least this month :)

Ok besides all these, anybody got any lobang for jobs? Like Disa.. I NEED A JOB!! Haha yes.. I know this is gona be taking up most of my time but no money.. I can't do anything man! I don't really wanna ask my parents for money so if you know of any openings let me know aight? But why do I have a feeling I'm gona end up not working.. wahaha. Bad bad bad..

Oh yes.. my dear Ameliaoooo are we having our girls night at your place this week?? Even if we don't, I wanna seeeee yoouuuuu!!!!!

Are you breaking God's Heart?
"You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?" - James 4:4

Sex Sins In Disguise

Adulteresses - We live in a culture of "normal" unfaithfulness. From prime-time sit-com to the soaps, from music to movies, from pop icons to presidents, adultery is acceptable. As far as the culture is concerned, the message is: sex sins satisfy. Unfaithfulness is just the way humans are wired. Excused, condoned or ignored, we have a global "don't ask, don't tell" morality. Consequently, when James uses the word moichalides (adulteresses), he strikes a chord we would rather not hear. By the way, it was the same in the first century. Men and women have not progressed much in 2000 years of moral corruption. The same old sins prevail.

You might be interested to know that in about half of the ancient manuscripts, both genders are included in this descriptive phrase: adulterers and adulteresses. Male and female He created them, and both genders have done their best to destroy the sacredness of that creation.

What's unusual about this verse is not the implied immorality. What's unusual is that James chooses this very strong word to describe not sexual behavior but rather a love (the word is phileo) for the world. Did you get that? Maintaining a loving friendship with the world is the equivalent of sexual infidelity in your relationship with God. Every time you let the world's system set your priorities, every time you fall prey to its seductions of power, wealth and glory, you participate in adultery. You willingly give yourself to another.

Do you know what that's like? Do you know the agony, the guilt, the shame, the excuses and lies, the broken trust, the terror of abandonment? Do you know the shattered life, the numbing denial, the terrible truth, the twisted logic, the hopelessness? Have you felt the emptiness, the anger, the destruction, the death that accompanies unfaithfulness? Then you know something about God's heart, some tiny bit of the crushing blow that adultery brings in its wake. But remember, this kind of adultery is not about sex. It's about your love affair with the world's standards. It's about I, me, mine. It's about my protection, my goals, my needs, my agenda and my desires.

Don't you know that going to bed with the world breaks the heart of God?
