Oprah? You may ask.. but well she deals with real life issues that affect people and it's good that she tries to make people aware of the things that are happening around the world.
Like today,
Ricky Martin was invited on the show to talk about how the rebuilding of Thailand is going after the tsunami. They have already started to build houses for these people to live in again and I really think tat it's good of him to use what he has to help these ppl. They showed a clip of him giving the keys to the new house to this woman who lost her family, and the gratefulness you saw was just heartwarming. And she said smth bout God being in her and she is thankful He is looking after her. And she told him, to live you don't have to have anything (material that is). Which is so true isn't it?

Oprah, she also toked about child sex slaves and this girl who was brought in to the US, told her story. Scary I tell you what these men can do.. or even pass off as. Imagine the guy who brought her in was a minister in a church, lived with his wife and daughter but yet was still capable of raping her every nite in his own house.

Get Real 2ml and Wed, they're covering stories that are closer to home. Scary isn't it. These men who look for these girls really have no shame and are seriously perverted man. If you think that 14-16 yr olds are young enuff, there are even girls who are 6-10 yrs old and sold for a few miserly dollars into this sex trade. And this sick guys pay to have sex with them. Sick bastards.

Get Real and this guy was saying that if these men had daughters that age, then maybe they wouldn't do it. But sheesh! Since when was it rite even if they didn't have daughters tat age? I'm sure they have friends who have kids, nieces or some ppl they noe tat age. Isn't it just sick and perverse?

Oh well.. anyways smth closer to home. The X'mas Eve and NYE hoo ha that happened in Orchard Rd. What's up with these men? I know there was an article on TNP today about it and my dad told me tat they could even interview some of these foreign workers and they toked about it like it was nothing. What the hell is wrong with them in the head man? Juz because they are not in their own country they can do anyting they like because our government doesn't have a strong enough hold on them? Juz because we don't have all their info and aren't able to kp track of them, is it an excuse for them to go around harassing girls on the streets? Sure.. it's all in the name of fun.. but not to the extent of groping and touching them in places they wouldn't even normally let their best friends touch. For goodness sake. Who do they think they are? They come here to work, find work, get money and yet treat our people like this? They seriously need to get their heads checked.
I'm not saying tat all of them are like tat.. but hey, look at the complaints that these girls made, they're all toking bout the same group of people.
While.. yes I do say that some of these girls are asking for it, knowing that it's gona be damn crowded in the streets and there are chances of them getting touched in places they don't want to be touched. Yet they still want to go out and have their fun. Still.. this is no place for sickos like that to get what their defective brain wants.
It's just appalling to hear and see all these things that are happening in the world. It makes me sad and sick in the stomach to know that perverts like these roam the streets.. and not only that, they could be ppl you come into contact with. That is why I'm always wary of strangers and look out for this idiots.
Girls, be more watchful. If you're wearing a low cut top or a short skirt or smth. Don't stay to close to men if you can. You may think that I'm being ridiculous. But I have so many a time seen guys trying to look down girls' shirts or trying to peep at a girls' undies if she's sitting in the train wearing a skirt. Some of these girls happen to be my frens. And when that happens I stare at that idiot and purposely stand in front of them to block that bastard's view or pull her/them away.
I wish someone could just wash those sick and perverted minds, or even dig the eyes of these guys who don't even deserve to look at women. Of cos it could be more extreme.. but I shan't be like tat.
