It's been tiring, but it's been fun. Especially yesterday.
For the last 2 days, i've been heading to church after school for the
Youth Leaders' Retreat. And although i wasn't there for the whole thing, it was still a really good time spent with
God.
On Monday, we watched
Passion of Christ, not the whole show but juz the part where
Jesus was already caught till His crucifixion. The first time when they were playing it.. i went to the toilet.. den i read my book. The second time when they showed it to everyone at nite. I started crying when the crowd was asked which prisoner they wanted release. And when it came to the gory part, i juz couldn't look. I closed my eyes, prayed and cried.
And to think i like to watch bloody shows. Wuss i am. If you tink of me tat way. I can watch any other show but juz not this and the Jesus movie because it's really upsetting to see the way He had to suffer
BECAUSE OF US and
FOR US.
God, You're s'wonderful. Thank you.
Tuesday, headed back down juz in time for lunch and helped to set up for the games while the younger ones went up for their session. Think everyone was quite high cos we were all doin stupid things and laughing and laughing and laughing and... haha yeah then we played the games among ourselves for a while (
AmBer, Ryan, Ralph, Denver, Marcus, Alvin n I). And again we were laughing.. Good way to relieve stress and worries bout school man. :)
After the games, everyone headed back up for the last session b4 closing off the retreat. I wasn't really paying much attention at the end because i was worried about smth else. But all i can do now is pray.
On another note, it's really upsetting to see so many people dead and suffering 'cos of the
Tsunami.. Right now the numbers are at 68,000 and still counting.. Yesterday when i saw the
Straits Times, i was quite disturbed and saddened at the pictures. So many innocent lives lost. But i thank
God that Singapore wasn't affected. It's really by His grace that we are safe and still here. Imagine, so many places around us were hit but we weren't, we are indeed blessed.
I'm glad that they are people in Singapore who are doing what they can to help the victims. And today, I realised that I'm glad to have found a friend in
Wendy. It is seldom that i see my friends speak with so much ardor on helping people who are less fortunate than us. She is definitely one of the smartest and strongest person i noe.
Lord, thank You for keeping Singapore safe from the disaster. I pray for the families of the victims that they be strong and take comfort in You. Amen.
